Embroidery & Body Image Life Question

This is one of my sewing machine drawings that I thought was appropo to todays post. art%20059.jpg

I am also miss asking questions of my readers from The Book of Questions, so I thought I would ask another question today, please leave a comment with an answer and I may feature your response in an up and coming post!

Question # 169:How many times during the day do you look at yourself in the mirror?

I'm doing a senior selective/presentation (for students who are seniors) these days on historical perspectives of body image, the definition and the pursuit of aesthetic beauty. The presentation is entitled From the Hottentot Venus to Barbie: Historical look at Beauty and Body Image and I thought that this question suited the topic. I'm interested in people's responses, so please leave a comment!

I enjoyed my return visit to your blog today. Always a wide selection of creativity to look at and to think about here; much to be inspired by.

How many times do I look at self in the mirror; hmmm.... brushing teeth; combing hair; before out the door... 6ish

(enjoyed the image above; thinking for most people they look in the mirror and see a demon; once again thought provoking)

^reminded me of Cinderella's revenge.

i look in the mirror too many times. even in the reflections of the windows in klein. it's kind of disgusting.

i like the picture you made. cool idea.

believe it or not I never look at myself...there are days I often leave the house and by the end of the day my wife will have to tell me I missed a spot shaving. don't know what it all means...just a fact amaretto girl!

I look in the mirror twice a day when I brush my teeth. That is it. I can't stand my reflection so I avoid it as much as possible.
