Flowering Fruit Trees
Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 07:08PM My fruit tress are flowering Yay!! I'm so excited, especially because I didn't expect the apple tree to make it, (as it bends kind of bizarrely out from the ground). We never really anchored it well when we planted it. I'm hoping they start providing us with some apples and pears soon! These pics are inspiring to me.

Well, I'm off to the studio to get something new done.
I'm in the mood to draw. I'm also in the mood to work on a handmade Kokeshi inspired laptop bag for one of my darling students, Emi Boscamp, before she goes off to college. I almost have all my lines memorized...lets see what happens...stay tuned.

how pretty! those flowers are gorgeous. Actually, I have a crabapple tree in my front yard that recently bloomed, but I forgot to take pictures of it, and now the pretty flowers are gone.
this is awesome. I've always wanted a tree that gives fruit (I have a grape plant, but it's still just vines, and doesn't count as a tree yet). I once saw a pear liquor, in a narrow rimmed bottle with a whole pear in it. What you do is hang the bottles on the trees with the blossoms in the bottle so the fruit grows right in the bottle. I don't know if you have experience in brewing your own liquor, but if not it might be fun to try doing something with this :)

Your plants are looking wonderful. my mom would be beyond jealous. She is currently tending to her tomatoe plants on her roof top garden.
