Special Delivery!

Woo Hoo! Don't you love getting special envelopes in the mail?? Yesterday, I received my eagerly awaited package from Etsy seller and illustrator Hidden Eloise!! I purchased some wares and am dying to get them framed and hung up in my home. This was coming from London, so I waited in anticipation. Being an artist, I have to really love it to want to collect it and I do! Since it was packaged SO SO lovely I wanted to share it with all of you!

My package from Artist/Illustrator and Etsy Seller Hidden Eloise

For those who know me and my art (especially my animal headed humans), for the past two years I've been grappling with my relationship to the land and my dichotomous animal nature. In addition, I just happen to live in bear country (see them all the time now) so when I came across Hidden Eloise's work I kind of fell in love! I got a twofer giclee print, a pocket mirror, a button, some stickers and a card with a 'lovely' note!

All the awesome stuff by Hidden Eloise in that little envelope!

Hope you liked this as much as I did and...
TELL me in this digi age of communication what was the last WONDERFUl thing you unearthed from the mailbox??

GIVEAWAY is still going strong, You can still enter and April 4th is getting closer!!!
Ciao- Amarettogirl

This brought some cheer to a sad day! AHHH! What adorable packaging! I especially like the bear-headed cupid boy.. Hm... the last wonderful thing I received in the mail was probably a bunch of sale items from urban Outfitters or a letter from my pen-pal Claire. It's so sad, I don't get a lot of cool stuff in the mail.

Oh! This is a wonderful little set! For me... hmmm... OH! Just yesterday I got a lovely ATC from a friend on DeviantArt. It was so nice to get something other than a bill...

That package is beautiful! I wish I could get something like that in the mail. I would definitely keep the envelope if I were you. The last thing that I got in the mail that was nice was a Wacom Tablet :-D, but sadly, that's about all the cool stuff I've been sent. Aside from college letters and stuff, I rarely even get mail ; w ;

Interesting packaging, I love the hand written note.. make the whole thing personal.
The last thing from the mailbox was a birthday card from my aunt (that is a long time ago) now ,
my aunt sending me electronic card..

What a beautiful presentation in the packaging. You can see that it was done with care and appreciation, I love the personal touch of the hand written note. It is such a lost art esp in this digi age. I prefer that someone take the time to take thought to pen rather than a digi card or letter.

Granted that at times it may be the most convenient as I have often done when trying to communicate on a quicker basis but for the more personal of things a letter, note or card are so worthwhile because ones handwritting is very personal.

But now onto to answer you. I cannot remember which was first or last but both deserve mentioning. One was a box of a variety of goodies for my birthday last year ranging from articles of clothing to a small pot with seeds and soil to dog bone cookie cutters accompanied with a recipe for homemade dog biscuits and a ziploc filled with goodies for my Queenie to sample. The other was a thoughtful package of kitty treats with an endearing card. They each had such a personal touch and were filled with such love.

ps...LOVE your scissors. very cool!!! where does one acquire such a treat?

Well if you must know, the last mail I got was from my lovely pen pal in the US! Yup! I got your letter Marisol and it was such a lovely surprise! I love everything about it, from the cute stationery, pretty illo you made for me, stickers to the insipration note. It came at a good time, was feeling a bit down for the past week or so and reading your letter made me happy! Your letter is on its way! XO Sal

I don't receive much in the mail that's "oh so happy" but if I had to choose, it would be papi's packages from PR with coffee inside :o)

Look at me! Just bellow Hidden Eloise!
Lovely! I loved every single little thing you got from her!
Well, the last good thing I got in the mailbox was a letter from a little girl that is my "pen pal". I am a volunteer at a organization that trades letters from kids in shelters with the adult volunteers. I love it.
Other then that... just "charging letters" from the bank, creditcards... :(

I remember you excitedly talking about the Hidden Eloise art and your recent purchase. It is quite lovely, I'm on my way to her Etsy shop right now!
Oh thanks by the way for getting me hooked on all the things Etsy, I make countless purchases from there and highly recommend the site as well.

Wow! Another new favorite shop to add to my list.

the last awesome thing I got in the mail was from a penpal in Japan. We exchanged presents, and she not only drew some really lovely watercolours for me, but she included a small keychain from my favorite tv series! <3

last WONDERFUl thing you unearthed from the mailbox??

* a postcard from a friend, I sent her one while traveling and she sent me one. She didn't travel anywhere and she was at home, I wasn't expecting a return postcard..since we only send each other one when we travel and it was just nice to get a return post card. she said she had one lying around and decided to mail it to me. I guess it's the gesture of returning a postcard that is so wonderful. it's unexpected
